AECOM is looking for a Geo Tech Expert to join our team for a 12-month engagement. In this critical role, you will provide technical leadership on geotechnical engineering for major airport infrastructure projects, ensuring design excellence and adherence to strict international standards.
What You'll Do
- Conduct comprehensive geotechnical investigations and prepare Geotechnical Investigation Reports (GIRs).
- Provide foundation and ground-improvement designs for airport infrastructure, including runways, taxiways, aprons, terminals, and related facilities.
- Create and review geotechnical investigation scopes, specifications, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and factual/geotechnical reports.
- Ensure all inputs are accurate and suitable for multidisciplinary design teams.
- Evaluate settlement, slope stability, liquefaction, and ground risks.
- Recommend appropriate mitigation measures tailored to operational airport conditions.
- Collaborate with design teams, clients, and contractors to ensure seamless project execution.
- Provide construction-stage guidance, including test-pile reviews, site condition interpretations, and validation of method statements.
- Ensure all designs adhere to international and national standards, including ICAO, DGCA, BCAS, and AAI regulations.
What We're Looking For
- Master's Degree in Geotechnical Engineering.
- Minimum of 16 years of professional experience in geotechnical engineering.
- Proven track record in airport infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in geotechnical investigation techniques and report preparation.
- Advanced knowledge of foundation and ground improvement design.
- Experience in settlement analysis, slope stability, and liquefaction assessment.
- Familiarity with ICAO, DGCA, BCAS, and AAI standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
- Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and manage complex projects.
