Role Overview
This position serves as a key financial advisor to business units, providing analytical support and strategic insight across planning, reporting, and compliance functions. The Finance Business Partner ensures financial integrity while enabling data-driven decisions through close collaboration with operational and tax teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of budgets, forecasts, and financial models in coordination with business leaders
- Assess financial results relative to plan, identifying variances and explaining underlying drivers
- Track working capital trends and forecast treasury needs across business segments
- Review contractual agreements, manage budget adjustments, and validate payment accuracy
- Collaborate with business unit heads to build financial justifications for new initiatives
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including asset capitalization, accrual management, and fixed asset verification
- Work with operations to project bi-weekly cash flow needs and support liquidity planning
- Coordinate with financial institutions on credit facilities, loan servicing, deposits, and settlements
- Ensure timely delivery of documentation to tax teams for compliance and reporting
- Engage with tax authorities as needed to clarify or resolve outstanding matters
- Perform monthly analysis of operating costs and track electricity pricing trends
- Prepare and distribute management reports for leadership review
- Support internal and external audit processes with accurate, well-documented financial records
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and promptly communicate relevant updates to the tax function
Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years in commercial finance, financial planning & analysis (FP&A), or audit roles
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- Proven ability to analyze complex financial data with precision and insight
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and financial modeling
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional organizational abilities and time management
- Capacity to deliver under tight deadlines and evolving priorities
- Openness to adopting new tools, systems, and financial processes
Preferred Credentials
- Progress toward or completion of a recognized accounting or FP&A certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CIMA)
Technical Environment
- Microsoft Excel (advanced functions: pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial modeling)
