Carl Zeiss Vision Canada Inc. is hiring a Field Service Technician to install, service, and maintain high-precision CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) systems directly at customer sites. You will apply your technical skills to ensure optimal machine performance while also supporting internal R&D and production teams with engineering and assembly tasks.
What You'll Do
- Install, repair, troubleshoot, service, and calibrate high-tech machines at customer locations.
- Demonstrate a high level of passion and dedication in all customer service interactions.
- Learn new skills on high-tech CMMs, utilizing strong mechanical and electronic aptitude.
- Complete all necessary administrative paperwork in a thorough and accurate manner.
- Work independently in a solutions-oriented way within a high-pressure, fast-paced, and innovative environment.
- Travel 90-100% within the service area, including international travel as needed.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum of a High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- An AS/BS in Electronics or Industrial Mechanics, training from a Military Technical School, or 4 years of related experience.
- Prior experience working with hand tools and basic electrical test equipment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft operating systems is required.
- Capable of an unassisted physical lift of one article weighing up to 75 pounds.
- Able and willing to work a minimum of 50 hours per week, including regular and overtime hours.
- Ability to work effectively in an industrial production shop floor environment.
- A valid Driver's License is required.
- Excellent communication and customer service aptitude.
Nice to Have
- Previous experience installing and troubleshooting industrial electronics, machines, or computer systems.
- Previous CMM installation and troubleshooting experience is preferred.

Work Mode
This role is based locally in the Raleigh, NC area and surrounding region, with daily travel to customer sites as the primary work mode.
