ABB is looking for a Field Service Technician to support our Measurement & Analytics Instrumentation Service Business. In this role, you will execute instrumentation and analytical service work according to ABB standards, focusing on maintenance, repair, and calibration for Local Government Area Councils across the NSW Hunter and mid-North Coast regions.
What You'll Do
- Perform routine maintenance on instrumentation and control equipment to minimise downtime.
- Diagnose faults, replace components, update firmware, and perform repairs in the field or workshop.
- Conduct calibration of instrumentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Document calibration results and adjust devices to meet required specifications.
- Investigate instrumentation faults using diagnostic tools, multimeters, loop calibrators, and software interfaces.
- Identify required parts for repair and maintenance activities.
- Assist customers with recommendations on spares, lifecycle replacements, or maintenance kits.
What We're Looking For
- Formal qualifications in Electrotechnology and/or Instrumentation.
- Current NSW Electrical Licence or Restricted Electrical Licence.
- Approximately 5 years of experience in Instrumentation Service; experience as an operator with strong instrumentation exposure may also be considered.
- Demonstrated expertise working with Instrumentation and Calibration tools, ideally within the Water and Wastewater industry.
- A strong customer focus, with the ability to troubleshoot, maintain, and support technical equipment confidently.
- Willingness to travel across the Hunter and Mid–North Coast regions of NSW to support customers as required.
