The Field Service Engineer is responsible for maintaining the performance and safety of water treatment systems at customer sites. You will monitor operational conditions, conduct routine inspections, and ensure all equipment functions according to specifications. Your work supports uninterrupted service delivery and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Track and evaluate plant performance metrics, reporting changes to internal teams and clients
- Perform regular water sampling, corrosion monitoring, and microbiological testing, including HPC and Legionella analysis as required
- Install, service, and maintain water quality instrumentation such as corrosion coupon racks and automated chemical feed systems
- Manage inventory of reagents, sampling supplies, and spare parts, ensuring availability when needed
- Record chemical usage, dosing rates, and system settings in InSight® and internal databases
- Carry out preventative maintenance on dosing pumps and associated equipment
- Ensure all system labels, documentation, and site records are current and accurate
- Support in-plant evaluations and pilot studies for new treatment solutions
- Review monthly test data and consumption trends, summarizing findings for account review
- Update technical manuals, customer files, and site-specific procedures
- Complete assigned safety and technical training modules on schedule
- Respond promptly to technical issues, minimizing downtime and maintaining service standards
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce risk, or expand service offerings
- Maintain professional communication with clients, managers, and internal teams
Required Experience
You should have hands-on experience with water treatment systems, including chemical dosing equipment and monitoring instrumentation. Familiarity with automated control platforms such as TrueSense ICC®, RSG®, or TrueSense Analyse® is essential. You must be comfortable working in industrial environments, following safety protocols, and maintaining detailed technical records. The role requires accurate data entry, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently while contributing to team goals.
