Lam Research is hiring a Field Service Engineer to deliver critical on-site support for our complex semiconductor manufacturing equipment. You will ensure operational excellence directly at customer sites, collaborating with cross-functional teams to solve challenges and build trust.
What You'll Do
- Provide quality on-site repair, maintenance, and complete installation services for Lam’s electro-mechanical and electronic systems.
- Perform analytical problem-solving, conduct diagnostics, isolate issues to the component level, and take corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Keep current on semiconductor capital equipment and Lam products through continuous learning and certification.
- Maintain records and reports to coordinate activities between Lam and the customer.
- Serve as a subject matter expert representing Lam to customers and delivering exceptional satisfaction.
- Transparently discuss opportunities and challenges with customers to increase trust.
- Update customers on the status of Lam tools as needed.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Engineering, or a related field with 2+ years of experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience.
- Proficiency in interpreting electrical and mechanical schematics, diagrams, and operation manuals.
- Ability to work in a clean room environment while wearing personal protective safety equipment.
- Capability to frequently position oneself (e.g., bend, stoop, reach, walk, sit, twist) to perform job tasks for extended periods.
- Able to travel frequently, domestically and internationally, with flexibility to work various shifts including compressed workweeks, overtime, and on-call.
- This is a graduate eligible role.
Nice to Have
- Proficiency in basic computer skills and familiarity with common office software including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience in installation, maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of semiconductor capital equipment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Foundational analytical and problem-solving skills.
Work Mode
This role follows a hybrid work mode, blending on-site customer support with other work arrangements as needed.
