About the Role

This position involves on-site service and support of precision optical systems, requiring frequent travel to customer facilities. The engineer diagnoses malfunctions, performs calibrations, and ensures equipment meets performance standards while adhering to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Install and configure optical equipment at client sites
  • Perform routine maintenance and system upgrades
  • Diagnose technical issues using diagnostic tools and software
  • Repair or replace defective components in alignment systems
  • Ensure equipment meets operational and safety standards
  • Document service activities and outcomes accurately
  • Respond to urgent service requests within defined timeframes
  • Collaborate with technical teams to resolve complex issues
  • Train customers on proper equipment use and maintenance
  • Follow regulatory and compliance guidelines during service calls
  • Maintain inventory of spare parts and tools
  • Calibrate instruments according to manufacturer specifications
  • Monitor equipment performance post-service
  • Escalate unresolved issues to senior engineers
  • Adhere to company safety and field service protocols
  • Optimize service processes for efficiency and quality
  • Communicate technical details clearly to non-technical staff
  • Support product improvement initiatives with field feedback
  • Track and report travel and service hours
  • Maintain professional conduct during customer interactions
  • Use mobile systems to update service records in real time
  • Coordinate service schedules with dispatch and clients
  • Comply with data privacy and confidentiality policies
  • Minimize equipment downtime through preventive maintenance
  • Adapt to changing work environments and customer needs

Travel Requirements
