About the Role

LGC Group is seeking a Field Service Engineer II to deliver front-line technical support for laboratory instrumentation and consumables. In this role, you will provide remote and on-site service, including installations, training, preventative maintenance, and repairs, requiring significant travel and on-call availability.

What You'll Do

  • Deliver industry-leading service through instrument installations, training, preventative maintenance, repairs, operational assistance, and trade show support.
  • Perform on-site customer training, preventative maintenance, and instrument repairs independently.
  • Provide on-site support for unresolved technical issues, start-up, commissioning, test and repair, and preventative maintenance.
  • Participate in and at times perform delivery of on-site operator and technical training to customers.
  • Take lead and collaborate with other FSEs and Technical Advisors to resolve customer issues, improve processes, and define corrective actions.
  • Continuously seek and support new approaches to improve efficiency, training services, and customer care.
  • Contribute to achieving service-related KPIs (Fixed Right First Time, Customer Satisfaction, Turnaround Time, Mean Time to Repair).
  • Respond with flexibility to business needs and corporate initiatives as requested by management.
  • Provide 24/7 on-call emergency service support and troubleshooting assistance.

What We're Looking For

  • 2-year degree in a mechanical, industrial, or electrical technical field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3 years' experience in Field Service
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record
  • Clean criminal record for travel visa qualification

Nice to Have

  • 3 years' experience in Field Service in the Life Science field or Ag-Bio Science field

Team & Environment

You will collaborate closely with a Field Service Manager and other service team members, and work with the Technical Advisor team and sales.

Work Mode

This is a remote position, requiring significant travel and on-call support to provide field service.
