Intuitive is hiring a Field Service Support Engineer 2 to provide critical support for our surgical systems. You will be responsible for planned maintenance, installations, troubleshooting, and repairs for all Intuitive products within your assigned region. We are a team of engineers, clinicians, and innovators united by one purpose: to make surgery smarter, safer, and more human.
What You'll Do
- Perform scheduled maintenance including system inspections, preventive maintenance, software updates, recalls, field actions, and upgrades.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair all Intuitive products and associated equipment within your territory.
- Coordinate and perform system and hardware delivery and installation.
- Complete administrative duties including Spare parts inventory, Field Activity Reports, Return Material Authorizations, and Expense Reports.
- Maintain all company-provided assets such as tooling, calibrated tools, vehicle, laptops, and iPads.
- Support other Intuitive teams to facilitate company objectives, such as assisting other territories, Sales teams with trade shows, or Genesis teams with sterile reprocessing training.
- Provide feedback to HQ and participate in continuous improvement projects to enhance processes.
- Complete all required training, including equipment training for all products, Intuitive Surgical University classes, and professional development courses.
- Maintain all aspects of a temporarily assigned territory, responding to customer needs and supporting training and events.
- Conduct training sessions at ISI, training centers, and hospitals.
- Provide management with a quarterly territory review and assessment.
- Travel ~80% within the travel and expense policy.
- Reside within 30 miles of an airport and within a designated city in your assigned region.
- Work a flex shift, second shift, or other schedule as required.
What We're Looking For

- Able to lift 75 lbs and move wheeled objects up to 1200 lbs
Nice to Have
- 1-3 years of Field Service Experience
- Associate’s degree in a related field or equivalent training/experience
- Proven track record of troubleshooting electro-mechanical systems
Work Mode
This is a local-city position. You will be assigned to a specific region and must reside within a designated city and within 30 miles of an airport.
