The IT Service Delivery Technician plays a key role in maintaining and supporting IT infrastructure across multiple environments. This position provides direct technical assistance for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, phones, and client applications, ensuring consistent performance and reliability for users in office, manufacturing, and engineering settings. Support is delivered both on-site and remotely, with a strong emphasis on resolving issues efficiently and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards such as FDA requirements, Quality Management Systems, and internal security policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, and maintain computing hardware and software, including imaging and setup of workstations and peripherals
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues using established procedures, minimizing downtime and service interruptions
- Support user accounts and device management through Active Directory and endpoint protection tools
- Deliver training and guidance to internal teams, improving technical self-sufficiency
- Respond to service requests through a ticketing system, ensuring timely resolution and follow-up
- Contribute to knowledge base development by documenting solutions and common troubleshooting steps
- Assist with server maintenance, network support, software updates, and backup operations as needed
- Identify recurring technical issues and recommend improvements to reduce incident frequency
- Provide after-hours and on-call support for critical site operations
- Follow protocols for equipment redeployment and secure disposal
Qualifications
An Associate’s degree is required, along with foundational experience in desktop support, networking, and system configuration. Candidates should demonstrate logical problem-solving skills, strong written and verbal communication, and the ability to work independently and within a team. Familiarity with Windows operating systems, Office applications, Active Directory, endpoint security, IP telephony, and remote troubleshooting tools is essential. Experience with manufacturing or engineering environments, Mac and iOS support, ERP systems, or design software such as CAD, Pro-E, or Solidworks is a plus. Preferred certifications include A+, ITIL V3, MCTS, or MOS.
Work Environment
This is an on-site role with responsibility across local sites, requiring occasional travel (up to 10%). Technicians must be available for after-hours support when necessary. The position operates in a dynamic, regulated environment where safety, precision, and service excellence are prioritized.
