Role Overview
As the FHA Team Lead in Field Services, you will oversee the FHA property portfolio and ensure timely execution of conveyance processes. You will act as a key resource for asset specialists and coordinators, providing guidance and expertise to maintain compliance and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage conveyance deadlines, including submitting extension requests when necessary
- Conduct neglect reviews and determine eligibility for conveyance status
- Serve as final approver for properties entering conveyance condition
- Respond to escalated inquiries from vendors, clients, third parties, and internal teams
- Perform regular audits of processes and production to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Reconcile audit findings and support resolution of discrepancies
- Provide status updates and reporting on active properties to leadership
- Support the development of new procedures and training materials
- Collaborate across departments through calls and written communication to resolve field-related issues
- Assist with asset-related tasks as needed, including chargebacks, claims, and compliance reviews
- Participate in client meetings and represent the team when requested
Qualifications
Applicants should demonstrate strong communication skills and experience in customer-facing roles. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and general computer literacy is required. Prior experience in office environments is essential.
Preferred candidates will hold a high school diploma or equivalent and bring foundational knowledge of mortgage servicing, default management, or real estate operations. Experience in property management, REO, construction, insurance, or contract compliance is highly valued. The ideal candidate exercises sound judgment and applies critical thinking to problem-solving in a regulated environment.
