Summary: Illumina is recruiting an accomplished, enthusiastic, and strategic Oncology Specialist to accelerate genomic technology adoption within oncological markets. This professional will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including Sales, Product Management, Marketing, R&D, and Medical Affairs to enhance awareness, education, and utilization of Illumina's oncology solutions across clinical and translational domains. This position is integral to the Americas Commercial team and critical for achieving annual fiscal objectives. Key Responsibilities: - Function as an expert in oncology-focused sequencing applications, encompassing somatic testing, liquid biopsy, tumor profiling, and minimal residual disease monitoring - Advance market development and educational initiatives supporting Illumina's oncology portfolio implementation in medical facilities - Collaborate with sales teams to identify opportunities and provide scientific guidance - Deliver scientific presentations at professional conferences and customer meetings - Develop oncology-specific content and strategic campaigns - Analyze market dynamics and competitive landscapes - Support key opinion leader engagement and strategic partnerships - Interface with third-party partners to optimize customer engagement - Contribute to financial forecasting and annual revenue planning Preferred Qualifications: - Advanced degree in oncology, molecular biology, or related scientific discipline - Minimum 8+ years experience in oncology diagnostics or next-generation sequencing - Comprehensive understanding of molecular oncology and cancer genomics - Demonstrated expertise in customer engagement and scientific communication - Strong interpersonal and presentation capabilities - Proven ability to operate effectively in dynamic environments - Willingness to travel extensively across Americas Compensation Range: $126,800 - $190,200, with potential bonus structures and comprehensive benefits package.
