This role is responsible for driving sales performance across the Pondicherry territory by building strong relationships with key stakeholders in the engineering, manufacturing, construction, and real estate sectors. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in both B2B and B2C sales, with proven experience engaging technical and commercial clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Survey assigned regions to identify new business opportunities and map customer networks
- Establish and nurture relationships with decision-makers, architects, consultants, and contractors
- Stay current on product developments and communicate value propositions to clients
- Conduct regular field visits to assess client needs and project requirements
- Generate, qualify, and advance sales leads through the pipeline
- Prepare and present proposals, negotiate terms, and secure orders
- Ensure timely and accurate updates in the CRM system
- Manage contract processes and support post-sale coordination with installation teams
- Collaborate with engineering, finance, and manufacturing departments to align customer needs with delivery capabilities
- Meet or exceed annual sales and collection targets
- Uphold the highest standards of ethical conduct in all customer interactions
Qualifications
Candidates must hold an engineering degree and have 2–5 years of sales experience selling technical products or services to industrial and built-environment sectors. A clear understanding of market dynamics, competitive positioning, and product applications in construction and real estate is essential. Experience engaging corporate clients, real estate developers, and architectural firms is highly valued.
