National Account Manager – Ireland
Role Overview
This position serves as the primary commercial leader for Environmental Water & Land services across Ireland. You will manage high-value client portfolios, lead strategic account planning, and drive sustainable growth in alignment with financial goals for revenue, EBIT, and return on sales (ROS).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and nurture long-term relationships with key clients, developing trusted partnerships across multiple organizational levels.
- Act as the main point of contact for complex commercial or operational escalations, ensuring swift and effective resolution.
- Conduct regular client reviews and performance meetings to maintain service excellence and identify expansion opportunities.
- Develop and execute comprehensive account strategies focused on retention, margin improvement, and organic growth.
- Identify pathways to increase client spend through broader service adoption, deeper integration, and expanded project scope.
- Lead bid and tender processes for major contracts, ensuring competitive, compliant, and high-quality submissions.
- Determine pricing strategies for new projects and contracts, balancing market competitiveness with profitability targets.
- Monitor contract performance, cost structures, and service delivery to safeguard margins and client satisfaction.
- Stay informed on regulatory developments, industry trends, and advancements in environmental testing to enhance client value.
- Collaborate with sales, commercial, and operations teams to align resources and deliver cohesive client solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Proven background in senior-level account management within a technical B2B setting, preferably in environmental testing, analytical services, or a related field.
- Demonstrated success in growing and protecting high-value accounts using structured planning and stakeholder engagement.
- Strong commercial expertise, including pricing strategy, contract management, tender leadership, and margin optimization.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver integrated client outcomes.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders confidently.
- A self-driven, resilient mindset with a focus on accountability, follow-through, and results.
Work Environment
This is a full-time, permanent role based in Dublin, operating Monday to Friday. The position supports a flexible and inclusive workplace culture that values diverse perspectives and professional development.
