Motorola Solutions is hiring an Executive Account Manager for our Strategic Projects Team (SPT). You will proactively develop large project opportunities for our public safety solutions with a focus on next-generation technology, selling to city, county, and state agencies across the United States. This is a long-cycle sales role where you will act as a trusted advisor to key stakeholders.
What You'll Do
- Develop strong, trusted advisor relationships with key decision-makers and influencers, including Mayors, CIOs, and other elected officials, to understand and influence funding.
- Interact with senior customer levels and consultants/lobbyists, working independently under limited direction.
- Maintain target customer intelligence data in our CRM system and provide timely, accurate sales forecasts.
- Drive strategies with government customers for our success in the bid environment.
- Network with key internal partners, including presales engineers, area services teams, marketing, and product management, to ensure your territory objectives are met.
- Leverage territory promotions and incentives to drive current quarter revenue targets.
- Be aware of competition and technology disruptors that may impact your territory and partner community.
- Understand Motorola Solutions contract terms and compliance requirements.
- Manage lobbyists, their budgets, and strategic giving plans.
- Drive and accelerate deals and their timelines.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor's Degree is preferred, plus 4+ years of documented sales performance in a technology environment OR 8+ years of sales/public safety experience.
- Effective and proven negotiation skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships with C-level executives.
- Strong relationship management skills.
- Highly effective communication skills (oral, written, and presentation).
- Ability to drive strategies with government customers for success in the bid environment.
- Understanding of the public safety domain, our portfolio, the competitive landscape, customer procurement processes, and political decision-making.
- Ability to quickly learn Salesforce as the project reporting tool and forecast method.
- This is a remote-based position requiring willingness to travel 60%+ throughout the Southeast.
- Ability to negotiate large contracts and interact with C-level executives.
