About the Role

Convey (formerly Message Broadcast) seeks an experienced Enterprise Sales Executive to drive SaaS sales within the utility and energy sector across the Western United States. In this role, you'll take a consultative approach to understand complex client needs and creatively solve business challenges through prospecting, relationship building, and solution selling.

What You'll Do

  • Identify, prospect, and close new business opportunities within assigned accounts.
  • Generate leads within greenfield accounts using networking, industry events, cold calling, and existing relationships.
  • Develop trusted relationships across all levels, including C-level executives and decision-makers.
  • Represent the full range of company products, delivering tailored presentations and demonstrations.
  • Collaborate with internal technology and product teams to build optimal customer solutions.
  • Negotiate contract terms and pricing to close deals while maximizing profitability.
  • Work closely with Product Management, Marketing, and Account Management to ensure customer satisfaction and successful implementation.
  • Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline of new, upsell, and cross-sell opportunities in Salesforce.com.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, the competitive landscape, and regulatory changes to identify opportunities.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2-5 years in B2B SaaS sales roles with enterprise customers.
  • Experience in the utilities/energy sector preferred.
  • Deep understanding of the utilities and energy industry, including market trends, challenges, and regulatory environments.
  • Strong networking and relationship-building skills with the ability to engage senior-level executives.
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong negotiating, influencing, and interpersonal skills.
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable in a field combining technology, marketing, etc.
  • Ability to travel 35-50% as needed to meet clients and attend industry events.

Nice to Have

  • MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in enterprise sales with a proven track record of exceeding targets in large, complex accounts in North America.

  • Base salary $100K-$110K + Commission.
