Freelance translators are needed to render English patent materials into accurate, native-level Korean. This role focuses on technical content across disciplines such as Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. Candidates must demonstrate proven experience in translating or editing patent documents, particularly in mechanical and chemical fields.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate and proofread patent texts from English into Korean
- Handle technical content across scientific and engineering domains
- Submit completed translations in K-Editor compatible formats: HLT, HLZ, or FIN
- Complete a translation assessment if shortlisted
Qualifications
- Native fluency in Korean with strong command of English
- At least two years of direct experience in patent translation or editing
- Familiarity with CAT tools such as Trados and XTM is preferred
- Ability to deliver in required file formats
- Reliable availability and timely responses to project requests
