Role Summary
We are looking for qualified interpreters fluent in Khmer and English to support remote interpreting services on a full-time basis. This is a 12-month contract position conducted entirely from home, with eligibility for renewal based on performance. The role is open to candidates residing in Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, or Cambodia.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide accurate, real-time interpretation between Khmer and English in a remote setting
- Follow assigned shift schedules, which include rotational night shifts
- Commit to a structured training period consisting of three weeks of daytime shifts followed by four weeks of night shifts
- Maintain consistent availability during operational phases after training completion
- Adhere strictly to scheduling directives without flexibility in shift timing
Qualifications
- Native or near-native fluency in both Khmer and English
- Current residency in Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, or Cambodia
- Availability to work 5–6 days per week
- Willingness to work night shifts starting between 8 PM and 12 AM Malaysia Time
- Successful completion of an English proficiency assessment (AMCAT) and a native language evaluation (eLPT)
- Ability to complete all required training phases, including daytime and night shift components
Work Arrangement
This is a fully remote position with no office requirement. Work must be performed from home within one of the eligible countries. Shifts are scheduled by the operations team, and candidates must be prepared to follow assigned timings without deviation.
Contract and Employment
The position is full-time under a 12-month contract. Renewal is contingent upon individual performance and operational needs. The role includes defined training phases before transitioning to active interpreting duties.
