You'll manage a team of backend engineers focused on building robust, scalable systems that handle high-throughput workflows for credits, refunds, and operational interventions.
Key Responsibilities
- Guide the migration of resolution logic to a unified backend stack, ensuring system reliability, data integrity, and zero regressions in production environments.
- Collaborate with Machine Learning and Data Science teams to deploy AI-driven models into decision pipelines with appropriate safeguards and monitoring.
- Design and refine a long-term decision engine architecture that balances personalization, fraud detection, and business policy enforcement.
- Develop tooling for configuration validation, staged rollouts, and runtime protections to minimize operational risk.
- Mentor engineers in distributed systems, fault tolerance, and performance optimization at scale.
- Champion a culture of ownership, technical rigor, and collaboration across Product, Fraud, and Operations teams.
- Work closely with recruiting to build a diverse, skilled engineering team aligned with inclusive values.
Qualifications
Applicants should hold a degree in Computer Science or a related field, with at least seven years of industry experience and two years leading teams of five or more engineers. Experience in high-velocity environments, distributed systems, and remote collaboration across time zones is essential. Fluency in English is required.
