As Market Manager for Sacramento, you will be responsible for the full scope of local operations, ensuring fleet efficiency, driver performance, and strategic growth. You'll take ownership of financial outcomes, operational execution, and continuous improvement through data analysis and process optimization.
What You'll Do
- Manage all aspects of fleet performance, including scheduling, dispatch, maintenance, and safety compliance
- Track and improve key financial and operational metrics to maximize profitability
- Analyze performance data to identify inefficiencies and implement corrective strategies
- Lead driver recruitment, onboarding, and retention initiatives in collaboration with the Growth team
- Deliver training and ongoing support to drivers on safety, service standards, and best practices
- Conduct regular safety audits and ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements
- Build a high-performing, motivated team through hands-on leadership and open communication
- Drive strategic planning and cost-effective solutions to scale operations sustainably
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years in operations management, business consulting, or a similar role focused on process optimization and team leadership
- Proven experience managing teams with strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- High emotional intelligence and ability to lead through influence and example
- Detail-oriented with a focus on execution and measurable results
- Self-driven with an entrepreneurial mindset and strong initiative
- Ability to analyze data, derive insights, and translate findings into action
- Excellent communication skills for engaging drivers, stakeholders, and cross-functional partners
- Demonstrated time management and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor’s degree with strong academic performance
- Full-time, on-site availability in Sacramento with commitment to in-office work five days per week
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience launching or growing a business venture
- MBA or other advanced degree
- Familiarity with ridesharing platforms such as Uber or Lyft
