Lead the development and evolution of embedded donation tools used by nonprofits worldwide. As Engineering Team Leader for the Elements team, you'll guide a small, focused group of fullstack developers through technical challenges and product delivery, balancing hands-on coding with leadership responsibilities.
What You'll Do
- Manage and mentor a team of 3–5 developers, conducting regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and onboarding
- Spend roughly 70% of your time on leadership and 30% on writing and reviewing code
- Drive technical decision-making, design system architecture, and align implementations across teams
- Own end-to-end delivery of features, ensuring timelines are met and engineering standards upheld
- Maintain your team’s technical backlog and lead efforts to reduce technical debt
- Ensure adherence to engineering best practices and internal development processes
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years in software development, with at least 3 years in fullstack roles
- Proven experience leading engineering teams of 3–5 developers for 2+ years
- Strong background in TypeScript, Node.js, MongoDB, Kafka, and Redis within product-driven environments
- Ability to lead technical discussions, design systems, and coach engineers effectively
- Fluent English communication skills (B2 or higher) for technical collaboration
