At Trane Technologies, we create innovative climate solutions for buildings, homes, and transportation. We are looking for an Energy Solutions Account Executive to develop long-term customer relationships and maximize account penetration. You will provide expert consultation to solve customer problems with a focus on financial and performance-based solutions, delivering a total answer for energy efficient buildings.
What You'll Do
- Identify and close large deals or sales opportunities.
- Provide knowledge and consultation on financial drivers, legislation, and requirements for energy and outcome-based sales.
- Work with a cross-functional internal team to develop system-related solutions for customer challenges.
- Develop multiple relationships with buying influencers and decision makers in the customer's organization.
- Determine needs and execute an account-specific business plan to facilitate a strong, profitable partnership.
- Convert leads into opportunities by assigning sales process, identifying project team, and communicating next steps.
- Gather and validate preliminary information and perform facility walkthroughs or construction plan reviews.
- Responsible for project take-off, selection, proposal pricing, selling strategy, and integration of equipment, controls, and services.
- Assist customers in answering technical questions on energy systems, products, application, installation, operation, and maintenance.
- Travel to customer job sites, which may include outdoor work or work in mechanical/equipment rooms.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of demonstrated executive selling experience or Bachelor of Science or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years experience in executive selling, preferably within the MUSH market (municipal, utility, healthcare and education).
- Must be accustomed to and have documented success in financial sales with long, complex, multi-tiered sales cycles in public and/or private sectors.
- Must be accustomed to speaking and selling to high-level decision-makers (e.g., CEOs, CFOs, Council Members, Superintendents).
- Has expertise in the financial, legal, and technical aspects of deal structuring with multiple buying influences.
- Outstanding communication skills to educate clients about offerings and articulate costs, savings, and investment opportunities.
- Valid Driver's License with no major or frequent traffic violations (DUI, License Suspension, etc.) within the previous 3 years.
Team & Environment
Work collaboratively with a cross-functional internal team of Project Development, Energy Engineering, and Project Management resources.

- Total Target Compensation - $90,000 to $225,000+
