This position plays a central role in advancing patient access to treatments for opioid use disorder by engaging with healthcare professionals across a defined region. The Key Account Manager will deliver accurate, compliant information about products and support systems, ensuring providers are equipped to navigate clinical, access, and reimbursement pathways effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet or exceed sales and patient access targets through strategic planning and execution within an assigned territory
- Analyze market data and performance metrics to guide outreach and prioritize activities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, identifying needs and delivering approved solutions
- Provide education on product use, disease state, and access resources using company-approved materials
- Resolve or escalate reimbursement and access barriers in alignment with company protocols
- Stay current with state regulations, payer landscapes, and competitive dynamics affecting treatment delivery
- Ensure all communications comply with FDA labeling, REMS requirements, and company policies
- Collaborate with internal teams to align field activities with broader organizational goals
- Maintain fiscal responsibility in managing territory-related expenses
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) required
- Minimum of 7 years in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, with at least 3 years in sales or field market access roles
- Proven success in specialty pharmacy markets, particularly with physician-administered therapies
- Experience launching products in complex, competitive environments
- In-depth knowledge of insurance reimbursement for office-based treatments
- Track record of identifying opportunities and driving results independently
- Valid driver’s license and readiness for regional and national travel, including overnight stays up to 50–70% of the time
