What You'll Do
As the EMEA Product and Business Development Manager, you will shape the strategic direction of food ingredient portfolios, focusing on high-demand specialties such as pea protein, faba bean protein, and collagen. You will serve as the primary point of contact for principals, aligning their goals with regional performance and ensuring clear communication of market dynamics, sales outcomes, and emerging opportunities.
You will guide Sales Managers through strategic planning, technical challenges, and customer engagement, providing coaching and training to strengthen team capabilities. By organizing joint customer visits and supporting pricing discussions, you will directly influence sales outcomes. You will also lead recruitment and onboarding efforts in coordination with local leadership.
Working closely with internal labs and application centers, you will assess portfolio performance, identify gaps, and evaluate new supplier partnerships. You will develop internal systems—such as centralized sampling, technical support, and reporting structures—to meet evolving principal needs. Your insights into market trends will inform tools and strategies that keep the business ahead of industry shifts.
Requirements
- University degree in Food Technology or a related field
- At least 10 years of professional experience in the food ingredients sector
- Strong technical knowledge of food applications and ingredient functionality
- Proven track record in sales or business development within a multicultural EMEA context
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
- Hands-on experience with pea protein, faba bean protein, and collagen
- Prior experience working with distributors or within a producer organization managing distributor networks
- Willingness to travel frequently across the region (minimum 30%)
- Familiarity with CRM systems, reporting platforms, monitoring tools, and lab operations
