Real Hires is looking for a meticulous Electrical Estimator to transform electrical plans and specifications into accurate, winning bids for commercial projects. In this role, you will be a critical link between design and execution, ensuring our proposals are complete, competitive, and well-documented within a culture that values precision.
What You'll Do
- Convert electrical plans and specifications into accurate, well-documented estimates.
- Perform detailed takeoffs for lighting, distribution, fire alarms, switches, panels, and other systems.
- Structure costs and scope using Excel and estimating platforms like Accubid or Quantum.
- Work directly with vendors to secure pricing, lead times, and material options.
- Partner with project managers, field teams, and engineers to ensure bids are complete and competitive.
- Help prepare proposals and bid documents using Word and Excel.
- Support basic CAD/AutoCAD tasks if you have the skillset.

- An electrical engineering background or hands-on experience in electrical estimating.
- Strong knowledge of commercial electrical systems and jobsite realities.
- Clear communication skills to speak confidently with vendors, clients, and internal teams.
- An organized, accurate, and independent work style that does not require hand-holding.
