Position Overview
As a Retail Insurance Sales Agent, you will play a key role in guiding individuals and small businesses through the process of selecting and purchasing insurance solutions tailored to their needs. You'll work directly with customers to evaluate their coverage requirements, deliver personalized quotes, and finalize policies for auto, motorcycle, home, and commercial insurance.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with new and returning clients to understand their insurance needs and recommend appropriate protection plans.
- Generate accurate pricing estimates and guide customers through the enrollment process from start to finish.
- Build and sustain partnerships with local businesses such as auto dealerships, financial service providers, and other community organizations.
- Conduct outreach activities to expand customer reach and identify new sales opportunities.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries, policy changes, and renewal requests, ensuring a high level of service.
- Follow up on incomplete applications and unresolved issues, including re-engaging lapsed policies.
- Maintain thorough records of sales activity, customer interactions, and time logs as required by management.
- Stay current with company offerings, pricing structures, and policy details to provide accurate information.
- Monitor competitive trends in the local market and share insights that help improve service delivery.
- Represent the company professionally in all customer and partner interactions, upholding brand standards.
Qualifications
Applicants should have at least six months of professional sales experience and strong communication abilities. Proficiency with PC-based tools is essential, and familiarity with Excel, Word, and web-based platforms is preferred. Candidates must be detail-oriented, capable of independent work, and able to follow established procedures accurately.
A Personal Lines insurance license is required; however, support is provided to obtain and maintain it. The role requires flexibility in scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and select holidays, to meet business and customer needs.
