You'll play a key role in developing electrical design packages for high and medium voltage systems, translating engineering input into detailed, actionable drawings and 3D models. Using AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Revit, you'll produce construction-level documentation that supports a range of infrastructure projects.
What You'll Do
- Develop and update electrical design sets by interpreting engineering markups and red lines
- Create precise plans, sections, schematics, and schedules for construction use
- Build and maintain 3D models for electrical systems, including equipment layouts and routing pathways
- Revise drawings in response to feedback, change orders, and field updates
- Ensure compliance with drafting standards, client specifications, and industry codes such as NEC and IEEE
- Support model integrity through consistent file management and version control
- Collaborate with engineers and team members to resolve design conflicts
- Conduct quality checks and peer reviews to verify accuracy and constructability
- Provide support on software standards and troubleshooting
- Stay up to date with evolving CAD/BIM tools and practices through ongoing learning
