About the Role

American Medical Technology Inc. is hiring an EHS Coordinator to manage our environmental, health, and safety programs. In this role, you will develop and implement safety policies, ensure compliance with regulations, and act as a key link between employees, management, and regulatory bodies to prevent workplace injuries and protect the environment.

What You'll Do

  • Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and programs such as emergency response, hazard communication, and PPE.
  • Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulations.
  • Deliver safety training for new hires and existing employees on safe work practices, incident reporting, and emergency protocols.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Maintain accurate EHS records, including training logs, inspection reports, incident data, and regulatory documentation.
  • Oversee the proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
  • Work with all departments, including production, maintenance, engineering, and HR, to integrate safety into daily operations and foster a proactive safety culture.

What We're Looking For

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret company procedures, business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts including basic algebra, geometry, probability, statistics, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions in practical situations.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with abstract and concrete variables.
  • Maintains a valid Driver’s License.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with others and complete complex analysis of numbers.
  • Knowledge of compliance and how to apply it to company policies, procedures, issues, and contracts.
  • Knowledge of modern business communication and office procedures.
  • Skill to use a personal computer and various software packages such as the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to establish priorities, work independently with minimal supervision, and facilitate teamwork.

Nice to Have

  • Relevant certifications such as CSP or CIH.
  • A degree in EHS, Occupational Safety, or a related field.
  • Experience in EHS roles, particularly in manufacturing, construction, or similar environments.
  • Strong knowledge of EHS regulations, excellent written and oral communication skills, organizational skills, problem-solving ability, and experience leading training sessions.

Team & Environment

You will work cross-functionally with all departments, including production, maintenance, engineering, and HR.
