About the Role

The HV GIS Supervisor leads field operations for high-voltage GIS systems (110 kV–550 kV) in European transmission and sub-transmission networks. This role includes direct supervision of on-site teams, quality assurance, risk management, and coordination with clients, subcontractors, and project leadership. Candidates must have strong field experience and leadership skills in high-voltage electrical systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead on-site installation activities for GIS systems in the 110 kV–550 kV range within transmission and sub-transmission networks
  • Oversee and manage all on-site installation, maintenance, and repair operations
  • Ensure quality standards are met through on-site inspections and execution of test procedures
  • Identify project-specific risks and implement effective risk mitigation strategies
  • Supervise, instruct, and coordinate all personnel and activities at project sites
  • Serve as the main point of contact between clients, subcontractors, and internal project management teams

Requirements

  • Electrical or mechanical qualification with a minimum of three years of hands-on experience in GIS installation and commissioning
  • Willingness to travel frequently, up to 80% across Europe
  • Ability to work at heights, requiring good physical fitness
  • Proven leadership skills and adaptability as a resilient team player
  • Holding a valid work permit for Europe

Nice to Have

  • Hands-on experience with SF₆ gas handling and DILO systems
  • Fluency in English and German languages, with English required and German considered an asset
