Lightcast is seeking an Economist to conduct rigorous analysis of labor market trends and economic data. You will work within our analytics team to deliver actionable insights that inform our products and clients.
What You'll Do
- Analyze large-scale labor market datasets to identify trends and patterns.
- Develop economic models and forecasts to support business and product strategy.
- Create reports, visualizations, and presentations to communicate complex findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with data scientists and product teams to integrate economic insights into our platform.
What We're Looking For
- Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in Economics, Econometrics, or a closely related field.
- 3+ years of professional experience in applied economic analysis, preferably within labor economics.
- Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., R, Python, Stata) and data visualization tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical analysis into clear business insights.
Nice to Have
- Experience with big data platforms and SQL.
- Published research or analysis in relevant economic domains.
- Familiarity with the education and workforce development sector.
Work Mode
This role operates on a hybrid schedule and is open to candidates based in Idaho.
