SLR is seeking an E & S Consultant (Grade B) based in Casablanca, Morocco, to support the IBIS North Africa team in delivering sustainable finance projects across multiple African countries. The role involves project and administrative support, research, data analysis, proposal drafting, and site visits within the environmental and social due diligence space.
What You'll Do
- Administrative and project support e.g., supporting project managers throughout the ESDD/project processes which includes attending interviews, contributing to report preparation etc.
- Primary and secondary research and data analysis on E&S Due diligence, E&S monitoring, E&S management systems and various E&S research projects on topics such as human rights, environmental and sustainability, Gender, Impact, Climate Change etc.
- Drafting of proposals and business development material i.e., a compilation of company profiles, experience listings, collating marketing material etc.
- Planning and supporting the logistics for project teams etc.
- Attend site visits as part of project planning, project and travel safety context.
What We're Looking For
- Excellent attention to detail and a focus on high quality outputs
- Working knowledge of Office MS suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, etc.)
- Ability to analyse, and interpret, technical information, to understand and articulate the potential risks and commercial consequences and propose pragmatic, actionable recommendations
- Excellent writing, researching and presentation skills
- Tenacity, focus and self-learning capabilities
- The successful candidate will be based in Morocco - Casablanca
- Candidates must be studying a relevant discipline at a well reputed University/School (Engineering School, Social Sciences, Economics or Environmental Economics)
- Proficiency in English and French (verbal and written) is essential
Nice to Have
- Working knowledge of QGIS software is advantageous
- The ability to speak other languages (including Arabic) is advantageous
- Proven academic excellence and other notable achievements are considered
