ProAg is looking for a District Sales Manager to develop strategic relationships with producers of profitable business in South Dakota. You will be responsible for growing new business in the region while serving as a primary relationship owner and trusted advisor for assigned agent accounts.
What You'll Do
- Develop a strategic territory plan by identifying and meeting with prospective agents regarding ProAg’s insurance offerings.
- Drive additional business through a variety of means including agency visits, social events, trade shows, and correspondence.
- Grow new business in the South Dakota region.
- Serve as a primary relationship owner, trusted advisor, and point of contact for assigned agent accounts to help them grow and manage their business.
- Become a subject-matter expert on ProAg’s products, business, and applications, as well as staying up-to-date on industry trends.
What We're Looking For
- At least two years of sales experience.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to facilitate cross-functionally to ensure clear and expeditious communication.
- Knowledge of industry changes, legal updates, and technical developments related to the applicable area of the business to proactively respond to a changing environment.
- Ability to travel outside the normal work location up to 75% of the time.
- Ability to work independently, focusing on achieving organizational goals and tasks with drive and energy to succeed.
- Ability to build trust and relationships with key constituencies.
Nice to Have
- Crop insurance experience.
Work Mode
This role is based in South Dakota and requires significant local and regional travel.
