Responsibilities
- Create and manage the Latin America commercial strategy, covering market entry approaches, channel focus, customer priorities, pricing, promotions, and product plans.
- Prioritize Mexico as the key market, designing growth initiatives based on consumer behavior, category trends, and competitive landscape, while initiating strategic planning for Brazil.
- Develop comprehensive market entry plans that include regulatory compliance, import logistics, and route-to-market strategies through collaboration with legal, supply, and operations teams.
- Achieve annual sales, distribution, and profit goals across the region, with a strong focus on meeting performance indicators in Mexico.
- Lead the regional profit and loss management by balancing pricing strategies, trade investments, promotional effectiveness, and overall profitability.
- Oversee demand forecasting and collaborate on building a supply chain model aligned with business efficiency and financial targets.
- Assess and propose margin enhancement initiatives in the first year, including refining distributor structures and improving supply chain performance.
- Drive customer acquisition and form strategic alliances with major retailers, distributors, and e-commerce platforms in Mexico and Brazil.
- Strengthen relationships with key regional accounts like Costco, Sam’s Club, and Walmart, ensuring coordination with U.S.-based account leads.
- Negotiate contracts, annual trade deals, and promotional schedules, while launching market-relevant product innovations.
- Identify new market access opportunities and grow distribution across modern retail, club channels, and online platforms to increase brand visibility.
- Manage distributor partnerships in Mexico and other Latin American markets, ensuring performance against volume, revenue, and EBITA goals.
- Define route-to-market strategy and select a capable distributor in Brazil to support growth objectives.
- Ensure compliance with brand standards for packaging, labeling, and in-market execution for all products.
- Oversee regulatory documentation and reporting obligations, including compliance with Irish and local government requirements.
- Act as the senior commercial representative for Latin America, aligning global directives with regional execution.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Category Management, Finance, Supply, Regulatory, and Legal teams to ensure smooth market entry, execution, and consumer-focused innovation.
- Work with executive leadership to shape the long-term organizational structure of Latin America operations.
