Regional Sales Director - Northeast
Drive regional performance by leading a team of Account Managers to expand market presence and achieve sales objectives across the Northeast. This position plays a central role in shaping field strategy, executing marketing initiatives, and ensuring adherence to compliance standards while building strong customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of sales professionals to meet and exceed business targets
- Design and implement regional business plans that align with corporate goals
- Conduct field observations and provide real-time coaching to enhance team effectiveness
- Ensure all field activities comply with company policies and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with marketing, commercial operations, and leadership teams to refine tactics based on market feedback
- Recruit, onboard, and develop talent to maintain a high-performing sales force
- Monitor performance metrics and adjust strategies to respond to evolving market conditions
- Support product launches by equipping teams with the tools and knowledge to drive adoption
- Participate in strategic planning sessions at regional and national levels
- Oversee performance management, including goal setting, evaluations, and development planning
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in pharmaceutical or medical product sales
- At least 2 years in a field management role overseeing sales teams
- Proven ability to lead teams in academic or integrated delivery network (IDN) environments
- Experience launching new pharmaceutical products is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of market dynamics and tactical execution
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel up to 70%, including overnight stays
Work Environment
This hybrid role is based in the Northeast region, with significant time spent in market. Regular travel is required to support team development and customer engagement.
