Apollo Information Systems is hiring a Director of Election Security

Responsibilities

  • Act as the subject matter expert in election security, delivering technical insight and strategic guidance during pre-sales efforts and client acquisition.
  • Oversee and direct program management personnel, coordinating task distribution and priorities to maintain alignment across active client projects.
  • Evaluate potential program risks, formulate risk mitigation strategies, keep program records up to date, and escalate critical issues to executive leadership when required.
  • Serve as the main liaison for all stakeholders, vendors, and external partners, ensuring consistent and clear communication on program progress, risks, and changes.
  • Manage multiple concurrent program implementations, ensuring all outputs meet defined timelines, scope parameters, and quality benchmarks.
  • Lead the design, refinement, and long-term development of the Election Security service offering.
  • Oversee program closure processes, including final deliverable submission, client feedback collection, and documentation of lessons learned across sub-projects.
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with key decision-makers and program partners.
  • Assist in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, promoting the organization's election security capabilities.
  • Engage with the broader election security community through public speaking, podcasts, blog contributions, and industry events.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as needed.

  • Proven track record in designing service frameworks and supervising their implementation.

Other

  • Within the first 30 days: Review all project materials, tools, and client contacts; understand current workflows, program structure, and progress; assume stakeholder communication responsibilities.
  • Within the first 90 days: Update program documentation, processes, and deliverables as necessary; verify project teams are meeting client expectations on schedule and scope; identify enhancement opportunities and initiate improvement planning.
  • By the 180-day mark: Take full ownership of the program portfolio, including delivery execution and budget oversight; maintain accurate and accessible program records; provide monthly performance insights and growth recommendations to leadership; lead planning and resourcing for program expansion.
