Role Overview
Join a critical infrastructure initiative as a Contracts Manager responsible for managing construction contracts after award. This position ensures all contractual responsibilities are fulfilled, modifications are processed efficiently, and compliance is maintained across all project phases.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee contract compliance and administer post-award activities for capital construction agreements
- Process change orders, modifications, claims, drawdown requests, and contingency use
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records and documentation in alignment with regulatory and grant standards
- Participate in weekly progress and procurement meetings with contractors and internal stakeholders
- Conduct site visits as necessary to support contract oversight and project alignment
- Collaborate with project controls, legal, compliance, IT, and program management teams
- Build and maintain working relationships with vendors, suppliers, and partner agencies
- Monitor contractor performance and adherence to agreement terms
- Identify areas for process improvements in contract workflows
- Support updates to procurement policies and procedures when required
- Submit regular work plans and reports on contract status and activities
Qualifications
Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, Engineering, Finance, or a related field, or at least eight years of procurement experience. A minimum of six years of direct experience in construction contract management is required.
Essential skills include strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, effective written and verbal communication, and proficiency with Microsoft Office, contract management platforms, ERP systems, and project management information systems (PMIS).
Applicants should demonstrate analytical thinking, the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines, and experience working across functional teams. A written assessment will be administered to shortlisted candidates to evaluate clarity and conciseness in professional writing.
