As the Audit, Examination & Licensing Program Manager, you will lead the strategy and execution of external audit programs, ensuring the organization remains consistently audit-ready. You will manage the full lifecycle of SOC 2, security, IT, bank, and regulatory audits, including CMS, AFC/BSA, and state or federal examinations. Your role is central to maintaining compliance integrity across a growing, global operation.
What You'll Do
- Direct all phases of external audits—from planning and evidence collection to response submission and remediation tracking
- Coordinate cross-functionally to gather accurate, timely documentation from engineering, data, compliance, and operations teams
- Manage timelines, deliverables, and follow-ups for audits and regulatory requests, ensuring clean closure of findings
- Oversee responses to due diligence inquiries from banks, partners, and third parties, ensuring consistency and stakeholder alignment
- Design and maintain a scalable Compliance Management System (CMS) with integrated tooling for audit and evidence tracking
- Define evidence requirements by compliance domain, including ownership, sourcing, and refresh cadence
- Collaborate with technical teams to automate evidence collection, reducing manual effort and enabling real-time audit readiness
- Maintain a centralized audit calendar and deliver executive-level reporting on audit status, trends, and systemic risks
- Escalate compliance risks proactively and support leadership and board-level reporting needs
Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years in audit management, compliance operations, or regulatory oversight roles
- Proven track record managing external audits and examinations independently
- Exceptional organizational skills with a focus on precision and follow-through
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in fintech, banking, payments, or consumer finance
- Experience with SOC 2, security audits, or regulatory exams
- History of building or enhancing a Compliance Management System
- Familiarity working with regulators, bank partners, or external examiners
