Lead marketing and business growth for a premier shopping destination in Asheville by developing and executing strategies that boost foot traffic, increase sales, and strengthen community presence. This role is responsible for creating and managing a comprehensive annual marketing plan aligned with financial goals, ensuring measurable results and strong return on investment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement marketing initiatives that integrate national programs with local market needs to drive consumer engagement and revenue growth
- Identify and secure sponsorship, media, and partnership opportunities to generate non-transactional income and support property performance
- Manage marketing budget and financial forecasting, adjusting plans in response to real-time business conditions
- Collaborate with corporate marketing, media agencies, and regional leadership to develop targeted advertising campaigns
- Build and maintain relationships with retailers, community organizations, tourism boards, and civic leaders to enhance visibility and brand reputation
- Generate earned media through press releases, media outreach, and local event participation
- Support national loyalty and partner programs at the local level to maximize customer reach and retention
- Develop tourism-focused strategies including partnerships with hotels, tour operators, and regional attractions
- Host retailer meetings, distribute communications, and provide ongoing support to tenant partners
- Represent the property at trade shows, festivals, and industry events to expand market influence
- Ensure alignment with corporate marketing standards and operational policies across all initiatives
Qualifications
Candidates must hold an undergraduate degree and bring at least four years of experience in marketing, sales, public relations, or the hospitality sector. Proven ability to lead teams, manage budgets, and execute complex projects independently is essential. Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal, are required. Candidates should demonstrate leadership, problem-solving ability, and a commitment to fostering inclusive, collaborative environments.
Preference will be given to those with experience in retail or commercial real estate. Candidates must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, and participate in a hybrid work environment based in Asheville.
