About the Role

American Iron and Metal (AIM) is looking for a Director of Business Development, U.S. to spearhead commercial growth within our Honeycomb division. You will be responsible for executing strategies across the automotive and recycling value chain, with a primary focus on catalytic converter sourcing and strategic supply initiatives to drive volume, margin, and profitability.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and execute business development and commercial strategies aligned with company objectives.
  • Identify and secure new sources, strategic partnerships, and market opportunities.
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies that strengthen AIM’s competitive position.
  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing commercial team across multiple U.S. territories.
  • Drive commercial targets tied to volume, margin, and deal conversion.
  • Foster a performance-driven culture centered on accountability, ownership, and results.
  • Ensure accurate pipeline management, forecasting, and alignment to performance expectations.
  • Lead regular commercial reviews focused on growth and deal execution.
  • Maintain data integrity and enforce disciplined performance tracking.
  • Monitor market conditions, competitive dynamics, and pricing trends within automotive, metals, and commodities.
  • Provide actionable insights to support sourcing strategy, capacity planning, and growth initiatives.
  • Contribute to annual planning, budgeting, and commercial forecasting processes.
  • Partner closely with Operations, Logistics, Administration, and Finance to align commercial commitments with execution capabilities.
  • Collaborate with other Business Development leaders to ensure consistency in strategy and execution.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in U.S. business development, commercial leadership, or sales management.
  • Demonstrated success leading business development or commercial teams at scale across multi-territory environments.
  • Experience driving business growth through disciplined execution, strategic partnerships, and strong leadership.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with a track record of driving volume growth and profitability.
  • Ability to operate in a remote, high-travel, field-based role (~50–75% travel, international and domestic).

Nice to Have

  • Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) strongly preferred.
  • Experience in automotive, recycling, metals, or related industrial supply chain environments.

This is a senior leadership position within the Honeycomb division, accountable for delivering sustained growth across the U.S. market.
