Strategic Leadership
Partner at the executive level to influence decisions on workforce planning, restructuring, and change initiatives—moving beyond process to shape strategic direction. Use data analytics and business insight to ground talent recommendations in financial and operational reality, ensuring decisions support sustainable growth and mission execution.
Talent & Organizational Development
- Lead end-to-end talent strategy: identify critical roles, guide performance management, and make tough decisions with integrity and clarity
- Coach technical leaders to close leadership gaps, improve team dynamics, and build inclusive, high-performing cultures
- Stay deeply connected to team sentiment, surfacing engagement drivers and early warning signs before they escalate
- Mentor fellow HR business partners, strengthening HR capability across the organization through judgment and consistency
Operational Excellence
Investigate sensitive employee relations matters with discretion and fairness, ensuring alignment with company values. Collaborate with central HR functions to ensure coherence in programs and policies while advocating for R&D-specific needs. Leverage AI tools and workforce data to generate actionable insights on complex organizational challenges.
Qualifications & Experience
12+ years in senior HR business partner roles within global technology or life science organizations, with direct experience supporting R&D or technical teams. Proven ability to earn trust in complex, ambiguous environments and influence strategic decisions. Strong commercial understanding, analytical fluency, and experience mentoring HR professionals. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience required. Prior experience with M&A integrations is a plus.
Work Environment
This role is based in Pleasanton, CA, with an expectation to be present in the office the majority of the time. Minimal travel is required (~5%).
