Twilio is hiring a Digital Sales Representative - Expansion

About the Role

Twilio is looking for a Digital Sales Representative - Expansion to lead relationships within our Self Service customer base and Communications platform customers who use our messaging, voice, and email services. You will be responsible for net new customer activations, transactional and solution selling, and closing deals to drive growth.

What You'll Do

  • Manage and expand customer accounts within the Self Service segment.
  • Own a book of business with the goal of protecting revenue and driving upsell and cross-sells.
  • Execute programmable sales plays to consistently deliver strong revenue, gross margin, and gross profit results.
  • Work cross-functionally with representatives from product, finance, support, and services teams to execute renewals and drive DBNE.
  • Generate and maintain an accurate sales pipeline and forecast utilizing Salesforce.
  • Execute automation strategies to serve a large quantity of customers while maintaining NPS and preventing churn.
  • Work closely with marketing teams to align on messaging and campaigns.
  • Be an owner: Responsible for net new customer acquisition and driving new revenue while maintaining high customer satisfaction.
  • Wear the customer’s shoes: Work with customers to understand their business and technical requirements and design solutions using Twilio’s platform.
  • Empower others: Work with cross-functional internal teams to address customer requirements and help customers get started.
  • Don't settle: Have world-class interpersonal and communication skills to make complex details sound simple.
  • Ruthlessly prioritize: Balance competing priorities and manage multiple projects/deals.

What We're Looking For

  • 2 years closing experience or 1+ years closing experience at a SaaS or CPaaS company, with a record of top performance.
  • Demonstrated track record of managing business forecasts and financial models.
  • Comfortable working with business and highly technical leaders, while influencing their understanding and building supportive partnerships.
  • Analytical account development strategy based on using data to find opportunities and prove value.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with appetite to define processes and build programs.
  • Record of delivering revenue and gross profit results.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Compensation: Colorado, Hawaii, Minnesota, Vermont: $36.01/hr - $45.01/hr. Washington D.C., Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, California (outside SF Bay Area): $38.01/hr - $47.52/hr. New York, New Jersey, Washington State, San Francisco Bay area, California: $40.02/hr - $50.02/hr. + equity: This role may be eligible to participate in Twilio’s equity plan.

Work Mode

This is a remote position. Candidates may be located anywhere remotely but are not eligible to be hired in CA, CT, IL, MA, MD, NJ, NY, OR, PA, RI, TX, VA, WA, or Washington DC.
