The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) is hiring a Departmental Technician 7-10 to serve as a technical resource for the Business Taxes Unit. In this role, you will provide comprehensive technical assistance for a wide range of tax areas, including Business Registration, Corporate Income Tax, Flow-Through Entity Tax, Marihuana Retailers Excise Tax, Michigan Business Tax, Partnership Audit Adjustment, and Michigan Treasury Online.
What You'll Do
- Document processes and procedures to ensure clarity and consistency.
- Recommend efficiency improvements relating to standard methods of operations, including training.
- Collaborate with other Treasury departments and divisions.
- Perform complex queries to support unit operations.
- Lead and/or participate in special projects.
- Assist supervisors and front-line staff with the resolution of complex tax issues.
