Fortis Smyrna is hiring a part-time Dental Assistant Adjunct to join our educational team. In this role, you will teach foundational courses and help shape the next generation of dental professionals. We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual who shares our desire to positively impact student success.
What You'll Do
- Teach Dental Assisting courses.
- Provide academic advising to students.
- Participate in department training, meetings, and graduation.
What We're Looking For
- Completion of an accredited Dental Assisting program resulting in a Certificate of Completion or Diploma.
- DANB RHS Certification.
- Xray Certification.
- RDA and/or CDA certification.
- At least three years of experience as a Certified Dental Assistant/Registered Dental Assistant in a clinical setting, chairside.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized, motivated, and results-driven.
Nice to Have
- An associate degree.
- Prior higher education/postsecondary teaching experience.
Team & Environment
You will report directly to the Dean of Education.
