Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) is looking for a Data Center Commissioning Project Manager to manage complex commissioning projects for data centers and mission critical facilities. This role involves leading project management and technical leadership throughout all phases of greenfield builds, expansions, and restorations, ranging from 1MW to 25MW+.
What You'll Do
- Manage all facets of Commissioning related projects by providing exceptional technical and project management services.
- Liaise with internal team members, outside consultants, and contractors to lead cross functional teams on data center or mission critical commissioning projects.
- Protect JLL’s contractual position and ensure our work meets contracted requirements.
- Develop or manage the development of Commissioning Plans and Commissioning Specifications.
- Develop, publish, and manage the project Commissioning plan from design phase through project completion.
- Manage project commissioning activities, including developing project proposals, identifying required team makeup, managing budgets, managing test script development, acting as main client point of contact, providing day-to-day direction to team, and acting as JLL point of escalation.
- Manage and perform Commissioning focused Design Drawing, Specification and Submittal Reviews.
- Schedule, lead and document project Commissioning kick-off meetings.
- Manage development of detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Methods-of-Procedures (MOPs).
- Lead team members in the performance of field activity components, including scheduling and coordinating team members and ensuring contractor requirements are fulfilled.
What We're Looking For
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant, mission critical commissioning focused, project management experience.
- Strong fluency with the mission critical commissioning processes and deliverables covered in ASHRAE commissioning requirements and guidelines.
- Expertise in planning and executing quality assessment of electrical and/or mechanical equipment/systems installation, system startup and pre-functional inspections, acceptance testing and associated commissioning activities.
- Demonstrated successful experience coordinating directly with General Contractors, sub-contractors, inspectors, AHJs, Engineer of Record, and other stakeholders involved with the project execution for small, medium and large-scale critical facility construction and commissioning projects.
- Strong proficiency in use of QA/QC and Cx software applications such as BIM360, CxAlloy, Facility Grid, Procore, and other related QA/QC and Cx applications.
- Strong people management and team leadership skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong proficiency in MS Project, Word, Power Point and Excel.
- Willingness and ability to travel overnight up to 30% across the USA and Canada.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Nice to Have
- An ABET accredited engineering or technology degree.
- Possess a Commissioning Professional certification from a recognized industry authority.
- PE and / or PMP designations.
- Experience working in a consultancy or owner organization.
