As a Data Annotation Specialist, you'll play a key role in enhancing the accuracy and performance of advanced language models through careful evaluation and refinement of German text data. Working remotely from within Canada, you'll contribute 16 hours per week to a range of language-focused tasks that directly influence AI development.
What You'll Do
- Review and categorize text data with precision, ensuring high-quality outputs in German
- Identify and correct linguistic inconsistencies or errors across various formats including JSON, CSV, and Markdown
- Evaluate model-generated responses based on clarity, correctness, and adherence to guidelines
- Provide clear feedback on language-specific challenges to support model improvements
- Suggest refinements to enhance data quality and task efficiency
- Maintain consistent accuracy while handling repetitive but essential annotation work
What We're Looking For
- Native or near-native fluency in German, with strong written expression
- Proficiency in English for cross-team communication
- Sharp attention to detail and a commitment to data integrity
- Experience working with structured data formats such as JSON, TSV, or CSV
- Ability to interpret complex instructions and work independently
- Comfort with routine tasks that require sustained focus
- Reliable access to a laptop and stable internet connection
Work Environment
This is a part-time contractor position with flexible scheduling, conducted entirely online from within Canada. You'll operate under a bring-your-own-device policy and invoice for hours worked at a rate of 30 CAD per hour. While no employee benefits are included, the role offers engagement with emerging AI research and the freedom to manage your workflow independently.
