3M is hiring a Core Sales Representative for its Personal Safety Division to cover the Northwest & Central Washington territory. You will be responsible for establishing and managing relationships with end users and distributors, representing the full Personal Safety Division product portfolio, and achieving sales objectives.
What You'll Do
- Effectively manage the assigned territory, understand sales goals, and establish self-directed sales coverage.
- Develop tactics and coordinate efforts to fulfill quarterly and annual sales objectives.
- Apply business unit marketing policies, procedures, and plans.
- Utilize the selling process to achieve results and demonstrate or train on product applications.
- Represent business unit products and services to customers and prospects.
- Provide sales support services to customers and distributors.
- Proactively report market conditions, competitive activities, and product performance information.
- Plan and manage time and resources for effective territory coverage and communications.
- Maintain and communicate account and prospect information and sales support materials.
- Exhibit leadership with accounts, prospects, and peers; provide direction and develop a shared vision.
- Continuously learn and improve skills relative to the market, products, and applications.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited university (completed prior to start) OR a High School Diploma and eight (8) years of safety or industrial sales experience.
- Current, valid Driver’s License.
Nice to Have
- Safety Industry experience, particularly with Personal Protective Equipment.
- Experience selling through Industrial Distribution channels.
- Experience selling directly into end user companies.
- Competent in utilizing selling skills.
- Strong organizational skills while working independently.
- Effective time and territory management skills.
- Strong use of Personal Computer software and online sales support systems.
- Experience with personal safety product categories.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is strongly preferred.

- Compensation: $113,752 - $139,031 base pay plus variable incentive pay.
