ISI Professional Services is hiring a Construction Management Representative to support the National Park Service at the White House and President’s Park. This role delivers comprehensive project management assistance and construction oversight on complex, high-visibility projects within a secure environment. You will manage contractor work, technical analysis, and stakeholder coordination from inception to completion.
What You'll Do
- Assist the NPS Project Manager in cradle-to-grave project management and administration.
- Oversee and inspect the work of design and construction contractors.
- Actively manage, monitor, and report on project progress, quality, and conformance.
- Coordinate closely with Project Manager and stakeholders to resolve issues and delays.
- Draft formal correspondence and project documentation for Government review.
- Review Government and contractor-produced designs, shop drawings, submittals, and plans.
- Assess constructability and logistical feasibility of proposed designs and plans.
- Prepare scopes of work, independent government estimates, and technical documentation.
- Assist with contractor proposal evaluations, fact-finding, and negotiations.
- Track and review submittals, schedules, Division 01 compliance, and contractor payments.
- Coordinate contract modifications, RPPs, and cost estimates.
- Respond to RFIs and resolve disputes through coordination and clear communication.
- Monitor overall contract performance and recommend corrective actions.
- Participate in and document project meetings and weekly stakeholder calls.
- Conduct field inspections and generate daily diaries, deficiency lists, and punch lists.
- Ensure completion of close-out documentation including O&M manuals and warranties.
What We're Looking For
- An active Top Secret clearance.
- At least 6 years of relevant construction and engineering work experience.
- Minimum of three (3) construction projects in the past five (5) years, each valued at $1 million or more, serving as a Construction Manager, Construction Management Representative, Owner’s Representative, Construction Superintendent, or equivalent.
- Field experience on projects within secure facilities or campuses with restricted access, as well as projects in close proximity to sensitive natural or cultural resources.
- Demonstrated ability to represent the Government’s/Owner’s/Firm’s interests, communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, and assist with or perform negotiations in a construction environment.
- Experience reviewing engineering designs, contractor shop drawings, and vendor specifications/plans to assess constructability, practicality, and compliance.
- OSHA 30 Hour Construction Safety Training or receive within 90 days of award of Call Order.
- Ability to open and manipulate Primavera Project Planner (P3) schedules.
Nice to Have
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction, or related field from an ABET-accredited institution.
- EIT certified in one of the 50 states or U.S. territories, preferably the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia.
- CCM, PMP, LEED AP, AIA, or PE certifications.
- White House and/or President’s Park experience.
