Business Unit What the Role Entails Roles & Responsibilities: • Review compensation policies for the Americas region (North and South America), facilitating discussions with HQ to align and localize standards • Design regional salary plans/standards, including salary ranges, equity incentive plans, and graduate/intern salary structures, while leading internal communications and change management • Participate in external benchmarking to ensure our compensation principles remain relevant and competitive in the market • Continuously review best practices for benefits in the Americas region, collaborating closely with HQ to enhance program cost-effectiveness • Provide HQ with regional insights on overseas compensation laws, compliance requirements, and market practices • Serve as the go-to expert for all Compensation & Benefits (C&B) matters, acting as the primary point of contact for regional queries • Partner with country HR and legal teams to track legislative changes and maintain compliance between Tencent's offerings and local regulations Who We Look For Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Administration, Business Administration, or related fields • C&B accreditations such as GRP, CECP, CSCP, CBP or other relevant certifications • Self-motivated, conscientious professional with strong adaptability and quick learning skills • Capable of navigating highly complex matrixed organizations and startup environments • Previous experience in Gaming, Tech & Startup sectors strongly preferred • Bilingual communication skills (English/Mandarin) for seamless interaction with international stakeholders and China HQ teammates - major plus Location State(s) US-California-Palo Alto The expected base pay range for this position in the location(s) listed above is $90,500.00 to $170,300.00 per year. Actual pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Employees hired for this position may be eligible for a sign on payment, relocation package, and restricted stock units, which will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Subject to the terms and conditions of the plans in effect, hired applicants are also eligible for medical, dental, vision, life and disability benefits, and participation in the Company's 401(k) plan. The Employee is also eligible for up to 15 to 25 days of vacation per year (depending on the employee's tenure), up to 13 days of holidays throughout the calendar year, and up to 10 days of paid sick leave per year. Your benefits may be adjusted to reflect your location, employment status, duration of employment with the company, and position level. Benefits may also be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
