Scout Motors is looking for a Community Affairs Lead to serve as our primary liaison with local government and community leaders as we establish our new Headquarters in Charlotte and the broader Carolinas community. In this role, you will develop and execute community engagement strategies to integrate the company into local networks and build support for our future growth.
What You'll Do
- Serve as the primary liaison with local government and community leaders as Scout Motors establishes its new Headquarters in the Charlotte and broader Carolinas community.
- Develop and execute a community engagement strategy to integrate Scout Motors executives and other team members into relevant business, non-profit, and philanthropic networks of Charlotte and the broader Carolinas community.
- Support Scout Motors’ engagement with local educational institutions and partnerships that are relevant and beneficial to the company, its products and its initiatives.
- Build relationships, and partner closely together, with Scout Motors’ Communications and Marketing teams on local external engagements, plans and strategies.
- Develop strategies to raise awareness of Scout Motors’ local contributions across the region.
- Establish and execute a community affairs playbook to build local support for future Scout Motors sales and service centers as they expand across the U.S.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 8 years of experience in community, external, government, or public affairs roles.
- Deep connections within the Charlotte and greater Carolina community, including the business, non-profit, educational, local government, and philanthropic networks.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience building, developing and executing a cross functional community affairs strategy.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Ability to work well across departments and strengthen company culture through effective collaboration.
- Minimum of High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required for all roles at Scout Motors, Inc.
Benefits & Compensation
- Compensation: $140,000.00 - $170,000.00
