Oura is looking for a Communications Manager, Healthcare & B2B to own the end-to-end communications strategy that positions Oura as a credible, evidence-driven leader in health innovation. This role sits at the intersection of scientific literacy, brand storytelling, and strategic communications for healthcare and B2B audiences.
What You'll Do
- Own the science-forward messaging architecture for clinical validation, research collaborations, and regulatory milestones, defining key claims and substantiation standards.
- Translate scientific studies and clinical outcomes into clear, accessible content for external stakeholders.
- Support communications for clinical validation work, regulatory initiatives, and academic research partnerships.
- Establish and maintain a single source of truth for healthcare messaging for press releases, whitepapers, and investor materials.
- Evolve thought leadership themes that position Oura as a trusted partner in preventive health and digital therapeutics.
- Collaborate with medical advisors and scientific partners to amplify thought leadership.
- Proactively monitor public health trends and policy shifts to shape responsive communication strategies.
- Lead communications and messaging for strategic partnerships with health systems, researchers, and payers.
- Coordinate messaging across internal teams to ensure scientific accuracy and reputational alignment.
- Anticipate and address sensitive or high-risk health topics.
- Work with legal and policy teams to ensure healthcare communications comply with regulatory guidance.
- Provide internal teams with healthcare messaging toolkits, clinical FAQs, and compliant language.
- Serve as the central liaison between Science, Medical, Product, Comms, and Marketing to align on healthcare narratives.
What We're Looking For
- 5-8 years of experience crafting strategic communications in healthcare, medical technology, or scientific research environments.
- Strong writing and editing capabilities.
- Deep understanding of clinical research, healthcare systems, or digital health, with the ability to translate complex concepts into accessible narratives.
- Strong project management abilities and comfort working cross-functionally with scientists, legal/compliance teams, and executive leadership.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with product launches and managing messaging across multiple channels (owned, earned, social).
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment and are positive, solution-oriented, and flexible.
- Availability for domestic travel about once a month.
